Strawberry Picking and a Pool Party

We had a fun day yesterday. It was so hot but it's always nice to start a Saturday knowing that you still have two more days of the weekend. Abriella and I went to meet some church friends at the strawberry patch and Abriella had a great time... eating all the strawberries!

It all started off pretty well...

Then for some reason she just kept sitting down in the strawberry bushes...

And then this started happening... and didn't stop.

I love the juice dripping down her chin... that means they are good :)

She found a winner!

"Are there any left..."

"Maybe all the way at the bottom..."

She then took only one bite out of each of them... just to make sure there were no keepers

Then later that night we had a BFF pool party. I love these girls and am so glad they are friends.

not quite the picture I was hoping for

how sweet are they...

then they decided it would be more fun to continue the party in the water table...

it's so much more fun than the pool...

a little crowded though.

And this is when you know that it's time for the party to end... I'll let you try to figure out what is going on here, but don't worry they are still friends. lol.

It was a wonderful busy day and I wish I had a hundred more of them :) Hope you're enjoying your Memorial Day weekend.

BFF's and the Zoo

It's been over a week since we went to the zoo but I've been too busy with my crafts lately to finish the pictures, lol. We were able to go with some good friends and Abrie's BFF. Abrie was super crabby but I think overall we had a good time.

And here was the little miss almost exactly a year ago with the elephant. For some reason she was scared of him this year!?!

I loved the way they would stick their heads right up into each and every fence.

They were so excited because they thought they found a worm. I didn't have the heart to tell them it was only the stem of a leaf.

Sad orangutan with his blankie.

See what I mean about the heads!!

Mommy and her baby.

How human-like they look.

Petting the chinchilla.

The crazy peacock. I think he thought I had food.

Then I yelled for Abriella to come back and he freaked out!!

For Jenny!

The master goat feeder! Abriella wouldn't put her hand up close enough.

It was a nice day and we had a good time. I love it when the two girls get together. They are so cute :)

Westley - 12 Days

How fun it was to be able to watch this sweet baby come into this world and then be able to come back just a few days later to take his newborn pictures. He was all too happy to be awake for his whole session but I hope that his mommy and daddy like some of these shots to remember just how little they start out :)

He was cracking me up with all of these faces he was making :)

Congratulations again! He is such a cutie!!

I Scream, You Scream

We All Scream for... Ice Cream (or Ice Crime if you're Abriella).

On our way out the door to go get Abrie's first haircut the ice cream man pulled up. She had seen another ice cream truck the night before in a different neighborhood and wanted some and I told her that he might come and visit her next... well sure enough he did. So we couldn't turn down a quick treat... her first of many I'm sure :)

Eric picked the ice cream and took a big bit... look at that look.

I think she's enjoying it.

Time to clean up!!

First Haircut

So finally, after two years and two months we decided it was time for Abriella's first haircut. She was getting too wild and raggedy looking. We walk by this kids hair cut place a lot when we go to Carter's or Target and Abriella always wants to go inside. We had been talking to her about going to get her haircut for a few days and she was getting excited. On the drive over she kept saying she wanted to go to the Clifford place and I had no idea what she was talking about... until we got there

That's why she always wanted to go in there. They have a big Clifford play slide. I couldn't believe she picked up on that and remembered.

Next time we do need to remember to make an appointment, there was too much waiting for an excited little girl. The whole experience was fairly happy. She got to pick a movie to watch while she got her haircut so I don't think she really even noticed what was happening, lol!

So proud of herself for going down the slide.

It's hard to wait your turn.

Got to get buckled up.

Look at how long and crazy that hair is.

Snip... not going to lie I did get a bit teary :(

She hates when I use the blowdryer on me... so she was not very happy here.
All done.

She even got a pretty clippy.

And she had to have a quick ride on Clifford before we left.

She keeps talking about it and she can't wait to go back :)
