Baby Bedding

So I've finally finished Oliver's bedding. It was much harder than I anticipated, mostly because I made it much harder than it should have been. There were quite a few snags in my plan but I think I made it work out and am loving the results.

And just one of the sneaky little miss who loves to climb into Oliver's bed and jump around... I really hope the bed makes it until he gets here!!

I have another sheet for the bed too but this blue one is my favorite.

It still needs some work. A new cover for the changing pad, some decorations on the walls and possibly the removal of some other girly things like the baby doll in the swing :)

Busy Sewing

Since we got back from vacation and I edited over 300 hundred pictures in two days, I haven't really had the desire to edit a whole lot more lately. So instead I've been busy sewing. I decided to make baby Oliver's bedding set and it's been quite a challenge since I've never made anything like this before. My parents bought the fabric for me to make it for him and I've been so scared to mess up the beautiful fabric. So far it's coming along pretty well and I hope to have some pictures to post later on this week. I have two sheets made and half of the bumper. Here's a hint as to what the "theme" will look like :)

stay tuned... :)

Vacation - Part 2

The second day on vacation was quite cool and breezy (not much like this week where the temps are around 105). We went on the boat ride in the morning, walked the boardwalk for a bit and then grabbed some lunch at a spot recommended by my family. It was a nice lunch right out over the water and the Little Miss almost fell overboard again because she just can't sit still.

Eric was the only one who ventured to the beach and Abrie and I hung out at the hotel to try to take a nap. Obviously she didn't take much of one and fell asleep on the way to dinner. It was such a nice dinner :) The other picture on top is a picture of her friend Sharky. I thought she'd be terrified of him but she loved him and wanted to visit him every time we went to the boardwalk. She is still talking about her friend Sharky.

After dinner we walked the boardwalk and found a little amusement park and debated for quite a while about letting the Little Miss ride her first ride. I thought it would either go really well and she'd love it or she would freak out and try to jump out of the puppy dog. That idea really scared me but luckily she absolutely loved it. I don't know if I've ever seen her quite so happy. I have about 30 shots of her just grinning from ear to ear waving like she was the queen. She had to ride it twice and would have rode the entire night if we let her. Even ice cream didn't stop her from crying and crying about leaving those puppies.

Our last day was spent back at the beach. It stared out a bit cool but by the early afternoon it was beautiful out. Aunt Kristen drove down to meet us and Abriella had a great time being buried in the sand and building sand castles with her.

We couldn't drag Eric away from the beach and ended up leaving a lot later than we had planned but it really was a nice day and a great way to end our beach vacation.

Vacation - Part 1

It's taken me way to long to post some pictures of our trip but I wanted to edit them all in order otherwise I knew they would never get finished. It really didn't take me all that long considering that I took and edited over 300 pics :) A little excessive I'm sure! Anyways I finally get to share some and don't want to overload too much so I'll share part today and part tomorrow. If anyone is actually interested in seeing all the pics I'll post a link tomorrow.

Overall we had a really nice trip. It started out on a bad note with having the little (or big) black storm cloud follow us our entire drive. The little miss did great in the car but could not sit still for anything after that which meant not so fun meals out with her.

Our first day at the beach was nice and warm but overcast, which was great for me because I was able to sit out and not get overheated. The water was freezing and the waves were huge which meant that Eric was the only one who ventured into the water, and has battle scars to prove it. After about 2 hours at the beach Abrie packed up all her things and headed back to the boardwalk. I asked her what she was doing and she just announced she was going home!

She did have fun though, she found an umbrella and sat herself down under it and dug and played for quite awhile.

That night we went to a nice restaurant where you were able to go on a cruise after dinner with the purchase of a meal. We had some wonderful fish there and a really nice time on the boat ride (well at least I did... Abriella fell asleep and Eric said he felt sick). Oh well...

The second day we went on another boat ride to Assateague Island to see the wild ponies. It was a really nice boat ride and the water was much calmer. Abriella wasn't though and could not sit still and kept yelling out "where are you ducks" I don't know why? We saw some of the fisher boats and one of George Clooney's houses. We also so quite a few of the ponies while we were on the boat but none when we stopped to get on the island. Abriella had fun fishing for crabs and shells but almost fell all the way in the water way too many times because she insists on doing everything herself.

In order to not crash my site and bore everyone I'll stop here for today and post a few more tomorrow! I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful 4th of July!!
