Miss Claus

I had to share a few more of the baby girl in her Santa Baby dress. (There may even still be more to come ~ sorry!!) She was just too cute. (These ones look blue to me too? Sheesh. Although, it is cold in the North Pole?!?)
She looks scared, not sure why.

Ummm.

Yummy!!

Ball ?!? ...all she wants for Christmas!

The infamous "I'm done" face!

Oh, and if you have a minute, scroll down to the music player and listen to "While You Were Sleeping" by Casting Crowns. The words really spoke to me and I hope they will to you too.

The Beautiful Christening Dress

I was so excited when the sun actually came out from behind the clouds and gave me some light to work with. It's been so gloomy for so long and I have been really missing my mini practice sessions with the baby. So I seized the opportunity to torture the baby (I mean take her picture). It really is amazing to me how uncooperative she is, but we did manage to get a few decent pictures. I'm not sure if I am done processing them or not, they still might look tinted a little blue to me?? But I love them the same.

I had promised to take her "professional" picture in her beautiful Christening dress. I actually thought they turned out okay. And a very speical thank you to Grandma and Grandpa for getting her this beautiful dress for her special day.

Such a happy baby (she had just woken up from a good long nap ~ in her crib!!!)

She was holding the cross that her Great Great Aunt Jean gave her for being born. It was the only way to keep her sitting still, to give her something to hold.

Since I already had everything set up and didn't want to torture her more than once, I decided to do an outfit change. I just had to get some pictures of her in her Christmas outfit. I got sucked into buying her one of those fancy froo froo dresses that I promised myself I wouldn't get. After seeing this I am so glad that I did. This might get printed big and then hung up every Christmas.

The coloring looks a bit funny on this one too. Not sure?!? But she still the cutest little Mrs. Claus I've ever seen. hehehe

Have a Very Merry (and safe) Christmas!!

Oh and I can't seem to find my Copyright brush so that's why these are marked. I was too lazy to make a new one (and really wanted to show her off) so for now just don't steal and I'll mark them later.

Christmas Carol

I received an email today and thought it was very interesting so I wanted to share:

"There is one Christmas Carol that has always baffles us. What in the world do leaping lords, French hens, swimming swans, and especially the partridge who won't come out of the pear tree have to do with Christmas?

From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics.
It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember.

-The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.

-Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.

-Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.

-The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.

-The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament.

-The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.

-Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit--Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership and Mercy.

-The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes.

-Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit--Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control.

-The ten lords a-leaping were the ten commandments.

-The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples.

-The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles' Creed.

So there is your history for today. This knowledge was shared with me and I found it interesting and enlightening and now you know how that strange song became a Christmas Carol."

I have also finally gotten to a few of the baptism pictures. Actually I have finished all of them but haven't converted them yet so here are just a couple.

I also wanted to share one of the cutest holiday outfits that I had to get for Abriella She's looking so big though, and getting so much hair (well compared to before)!! She did have a cute red bow in her hair, but she yanked it out and that is what is in her mouth *great*..

And her first Christmas ornament courtesy of her Grandma and Grandpa!!

I hope everyone has a Safe and Merry Christmas!!

Digi Scrapping

For those of you who have never experienced the joys of digital scrapbooking you should really give it a try. Scrapblog is one of the most addicting websites I've come across. I haven't done it in awhile because of this but just checked in and found they had the cutest Christmas designs. They would make wonderful cards. If you get a chance you should really check it out. You can make your own designs from scratch, modify ones that they have made, or simply use theirs and just plug in your pictures (which is what I did here). The possibilities are endless.

Here are a few really quick creations:
I really like this one.I think it has a "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out" kind of vintage feel to it. Although all she asked for was a ball, repeatedly. Santa came to her school last night and she loved him (which cannot be said about any of her other classmates).

I think this was my favorite design.
