Drummer Girl

Since we finally made friends with one of our neighbor's (kids) of course it is fitting that they move. Abriella loves hanging out with them so it is a bit sad. I guess they went to Chicago for two weeks and the little girl talked about Abriella the whole time they were there :) Since they were moving they were going through all of their things and found this to give to Abriella...

A great big *thanks* for that. LOL. Actually she loves the drums and I think her uncle Andy would be proud. They also gave her two pretty teeny tiny bracelets that I want to insist that she wears, but every time I put them on she says "pretty" and then tries to rip it off... oh well.

I also wanted to let everyone who reads my blog know. that.....

More Macro

Macro is addictive... I enjoy that my subject sits still. It's a nice change every once in a while. I thought I'd share some of my recent pics... I'm still working on my creativity with it though (and drooling over the sigma 105mm 2.8 macro) maybe one day...

Here Comes the.... Candy

Abriella and I went to a festival in town last weekend. I thought she would enjoy some of the activities and maybe some of the food. It started with a parade which I thought she would like too. You know the fire engines, floats, people... but you know what... she could have cared less about all that. The only thing that she cared about was the fact that in order to see the parade she had to be strapped into her stroller. She was mad that she couldn't run out into the middle of the band or do her somersaults with the cheerleaders. She kicked and fought and cried because I was such a mean mommy to keep her from being trampled when there was so much fun to be had outside of her stroller. That was until...

people started throwing her candy and handing her fun things...

then she was more than happy to sit there and watch all the fun things go by... oh the saving grace of candy!! Yes, I have become one of "those" parents *sigh* :)

Mini "S" Family

I wanted to share a few more from our mini photo shoot last weekend. Since I shared 6 last time and they were hoping for 5 good ones, these should be a bonus, hehe(assuming the last ones were deemed "good ones" :)

How to Make Banana Bread

first you get everything ready...

you will need flour, among other things...

then you mix it all up...

it's ok if you spill a little bit on the floor, it's too hard to be perfect...

you should take a minute to taste it and make sure you're on the right track...

whoops... that's ok too...

and that, like I said it's hard to be clean while cooking ~ just ask my daddy

the kitchen might end up looking like this...

then you put it in the oven and watch it "cooookin"...

then it's time to clean up... you need to sweep up the cup of sugar off the floor as well as the broken egg, don't worry I'm good at cleaning

you'll probably get tired from all that sweeping, so you'll have to take a break and go for a ride on your pony...

then after all that hard work is done, you can enjoy it... yum yum yum

you should really try it, it's not hard work at all :)

Fun Fun Photo Shoot

Well, fun might not be the *best* word to describe it, lol. I had the opportunity to photograph some close friends today and I told them that the light is best in the evening. So we met in the evening, I should have realized (since I do have a child of my own) that even though the evening might be best for the light, it might not be the best for kiddos :) We did have a good time though, we just shouldn't have let them see the bubbles first... that was then all they wanted to do.

I wanted to get a few pics up since I probably won't be able to tomorrow...
