Preschool

I started preschool at home with Abriella (and Oliver) a few weeks ago and I can't even tell you how much she has been enjoying it. I'd like to say it is really engaging and creative, but really we just do circle time and one project a day. She loves it though and always asks at bedtime what we are going to do for preschool the next day. We decided to keep her at home this year because I am able to stay home with them right now and I really want to take advantage of that time we have together. It goes so fast! We started out our preschool with lessons on "All About Me". We learned about our 5 senses and what they are and what they help us do. Touch was by far the best day because we got to play with Goop (just cornstarch, water and food coloring). It was great because it was an activity that Oliver could do too. There was some tasting (as you will see) involved but at least I know what he's eating and it's not going to hurt him! To say this activity was a hit would be an understatement. They played out there for almost an hour. First it was just with the goop, and then after Oliver had dumped most of it out on Abriella, she started to mix it with water and continued to play until she ran out of things to play with!
We'll have to break this activity out again because it was a great activity for all ages, good for touch, color mixing, textures, liquid/solid, and probably more.... it will have to be on one of those days when I'm feeling brave though, because boy was it a mess!! p.s. sorry for the quality of the photos, I'm not sure what the best way to load the pictures in a collage like this is, they keep turning out pixelated... any hints?
