It's hard to come up with activities for a two year old that don't cause full out tantrums... complete destruction of the downstairs... or paint, markers, play-doh or glue. I'm so glad that the weather is getting nicer because I can see a lot of outdoor time this spring and summer. Abriella and I had a little time after lunch (before nap) the other day so we headed out to burn of some steam. Armed with nothing but a little Elmo pail we went on a Nature Walk... she could have gone on that walk for hours :)
Picking clovers...
Putting them in her bucket...
Checking out her loot...
The teeny tiny pebbles were her favorite...
She caught me :)
Heading home with her riches!!
When we got home she was so excited to look through her bucket and see all the "nature" she found. We took a piece of white paper and she helped write "Abriella's Nature" and I put some glue dots down and she glued on her favorite pieces of nature. She still talks about going on her nature walk... I think there will be many more of these in the future.

Spring has Sprung
Or at least for the moment. You never know here in Ohio what the weather may be like. It was beautiful this past weekend and as we went outside to play Abriella kept asking about the snow. Eric told her that there probably wouldn't be anymore snow... and she cried. You know the whole completely fake head thrown back and then eyes into the hands sort of whining wail... it's too funny to be sad. Although I would love to say we are on to warmer weather and done with the snow you never can tell. All I can say is that it was 70, mostly sunny and gorgeous. I was ready to get the camera back out and snap some outside pics. So that's what we did :)
I love this pic of the two of them but wish Abrie had a different expression on her face. Eric was trying to tickle her... and she was trying to get away :)
Flying High! I wish you could hear her squeals of delight.
My little model :)
She was instructed to throw grass at me by her daddy...
I don't know exactly what they were doing, but I love her expression!
Peek...

Boo
Such a goof
I asked her to go pet Phoebe... as soon as she got close Phoebe started to run away.. this is the face I got (Priceless!!)
Sorry for oversharing. I was just so happy to get back outside I was a little trigger happy :) It seems like she didn't mind there being no snow!

Birthday Pictures
I'm finally getting around to posting Abriella's birthday pictures. She had so much fun at her party. She was jumping and dancing around and knew that she was big stuff with a special day all for her. The theme was pink and purple Abby Caddaby which was picked out by the little miss as well as an ice cream birthday cake. It was so fun to see her get so excited and I am so happy she had a great day.
She was especially lucky because she got to celebrate her birthday over a whole week. It started with some presents in the mail from her Aunt Kristen.
(She was really excited about the wonderful presents... just in a grumpy mood!)
On her birthday she got to take cupcakes to her friends at school. So we made some super special cupcakes the night before... she enjoyed it :)
And then it was finally time for her big party day. She loved ripping open the presents and really didn't care what was inside (at the time.. she loves all her presents now) and just wanted to tear into one after the other. It was so much fun to watch her really enjoy a special day... and even more exciting to realize we survived another year as parents :)

My Canvas
I'm so excited to show off my first canvas. I've been waiting forever to get one and could never decide on the right one to get. I finally was sick of torturing myself over deciding and just kind of hit send on this one before I changed my mind, lol. I love it... I wish I was better at product photography to truly show it off but here is my first canvas... and there may just be more of these in my future :)
I just love the texture of it.
It's now hanging up downstairs right next to our computer (where our wedding picture was supposed to get hung back up... whoops). I tried to get a comparison shot with Abriella and her picture but she was having nothing of it, oh well!

Ellie - 3 Months
I hope you remember this precious baby girl. I was lucky enough to get to do her newborn pictures and now she's 3 months old already. It's amazing how fast they grow. It was so fun to go back and get some more pictures of her and see first hand how she's growing. So here's a sneak peek of her 3 month shoot.
L family I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and can't wait to get you the rest of the shots of your sweet baby girl.

Your 2-Year-Old: Handling Big Emotion
That is the title of the email I woke up to this morning. It's Abriella's birthday today and we had all kinds of fun things planned. Even though I planned all these things and knew that it was her birthday I wasn't ready for the acknowledgment of the fact that she really is two! It's been a crazy wonderful whirlwind of two years and I'm so lucky to have this little miss.
Her day started with waking up early and being grumpy... always a good start to your birthday. She had a birthday breakfast date with daddy at the Waffle House and then got to share her birthday cupcakes with her class at school. By dinner she had a tummy ache and her favorite Olive Garden dinner didn't go over too well. Finally she got to open a present or two and watch her special birthday video.
Here is year two in the life of the little miss...
I hope my baby girl had a great birthday in spite of the grumpiness and I can't believe she's two... even with her "big emotion" I have to say I love her a little bit more each day!!
